Jewelry Care
Thank you for purchasing our products! We sincerely hope that you will be satisfied when you received your jewelry! We accompany you with some short instructions to maintain product quality:
- Never put the jewelry in the washer.
- Don't use perfume
- Don't use Clorox or other abrasives
- Do not wet them
- Keep them in their packaging or somewhere where they can keep their original shape. For example: a jewelry box.
If the jewelry is well cared for, it will last a long time, so it is important to follow these instructions.
Materials:
Our jewelry is made of recycled metals like Sterling Silver, Fine Silver, Vermeil, Gold-Filled, Silver and Gold Plated, Cooper and brass.
- Sterling Silver- refers to an alloy of silver that has 92.5% weight of silver and 7.5% of other metals (usually copper) Minimum millesimal fineness is .925
- Fine Silver- Refers to pure silver. It is very soft, and a pale tone of silver (almost white) Minimum millesimal fineness is .999
- Vermeil- Vermeil is silver (sterling or fine) that has been given a standard of minimum of 10k gold plating. At now, we use 18K of Gold in our pieces. Our vermeil jewelry is created by electroplating the silver with gold, a chemical process that uses an electrical current to bind the two metals together and is make in our workshop.
- Gold-Filled-Gold-filled jewelry is jewelry composed of a solid layer of gold (typically constituting at least 5% of the item's total weight) mechanically bonded to a base of either sterling silver or some base metal. The related terms "rolled gold plate" and "gold overlay" may legally be used in some contexts if the layer of gold constitutes less than 5% of the item's weight. Most high-quality gold-filled pieces have the same appearance as high carat gold, and gold-filled items, even with daily wear, can last 10 to 30 years though the layer of gold will eventually wear off exposing the metal underneath.
- Brass- An alloy of copper and zinc. The copper in this material might turn your skin green. It is a normal chemical reaction. Please note that this does not mean your jewelry piece is "cheap" or you have an allergy. (For more information page down).
- Gold Plated- A method of depositing a thin layer of gold. It is made with an electrical machine which deposits particles of gold onto the jewelry piece. This usually wears off unless is a heavy plate which can be more costly.
- Copper- A chemical element, copper is pink-ish in color. There are many benefits of wearing copper!

Important Information:
Many people buy brass jewelry because it is inexpensive, however it commonly discolors skin and even tarnishes. When a ring turns your finger green, it's either because of a chemical reaction between acids in your skin and the metal of the ring, humidity, skin oils and sweat moisture. We apply a protection coating to all us jewelry to act as a barrier between their skin and the metal. Be aware that you'll need to reapply the coating from time to time since it will wear away. When washing hands please remove or dry your metals after. Remove your rings before bathing or swimming, especially in saltwater.
Please understand that this has nothing to do with the quality of our products, and that is just the nature of the metal. We offer different metals as another option other than brass.
If you wish for your pieces to remain bright, the best way is to keep them in a sealed bag when they are not being worn and to not mix them with other metals. To brighten oxidized silver or brass jewelry use a polishing cloth impregnated with a cleaning product. My recommendation is to use MAAS metal polish. Do not use jewelry cleaner on plated items; you can clean these pieces with a damp cloth.
